#996 Become a fur parent. ✔

Updated: Feb 10, 2021

This past week has been many things, the one thing it hasn't been boring. My partner and I decided to become parents to two beautiful bunnies and in all honesty, I could not be more blissful. They have brought with them so much love, entertainment, curiosity for life, and endless amounts of cuddles and kisses, that it has helped me to grow significantly even in just a short week.

The bunnies have also allowed me to get back into some form of routine. I've got to admit that since the new year I've fallen off the wagon a bit, with quite a fall to be precise, and I've been struggling to get back on top of things. But, these baby boys are definitely helping me to, slowly, get back into a much wanted productive and successful routine. 6 am is breakfast, Georgia and I wake up, she gives them breakfast and then we both have breakfast. Throughout the day I go to work during the mornings and the rabbits are let to roam free and get on to their own devices, although, mostly they just sleep. I come home for lunch and we give them a handful of greens and we attempt to stuff our meal with a large amount of greens also. Thank you bunnies for reminding us to be healthy. We all relax and chill as a family, give the bunnies tons of cuddles and attention, and then Georgia and I may go off on a walk without any destination throughout our village. 5 am is their feeding time and then we start on our dinner. Not going to lie, eating meals with bunnies around has become quite interesting. At around 9:30 we will both start to get rather tired and so one of us will clean out the boys' litter tray and then change all the materials so that they are fresh. Then the other will do the dishes simultaneously. By the time we are both done we wish the boys goodnight and head upstairs to bed. So far, this routine has been really relaxing and running rather smoothly. Hopefully, as the days go on, I will start to reintroduce into my routine the habits that I once had picked up last year, that I eventually dropped during new years due to mental health issues.

The boys have been such a blessing to my life, and they have made me truly happy. With the loving, gentle, blue-eyed boy that is Eren, and the mischevious, troublesome but loveable and cute Aspen, we have truly stumbled upon the Yin and the Yang, and so far, it really has brought me some balance.

Aspen, the handful.

Eren, the calm.
